• 6 days / 4 nights in bivouac / 1 night in guesthouse • 800 $ all inclusive • Departure from Essaouira • Departures all year round • Intermediate to advanced riders • All photos and videos included, including an individual gallop video filmed from the back of a quad bike
We'll pick you up at 9:30 a.m. in front of the entrance to Essaouira's old town. Meet the team and horses. Departure from the stables around 10 a.m., along the Oued Ksob river towards Ghazoua. We pass through the largest argan forest in the region between Essaouira and Agadir. Picnic lunch by the river, in the shade of the argan trees. After a short break, we continue towards the village of Ida Ougourd. The bivouac will be set up at the foot of the argan trees, just before the village, near an old sugar mill. We'll arrive at the bivouac well before sunset, settle into our tents and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner and tea sitting around a campfire.
After breakfast, drive through a small village and its argan tree fields. Depending on the season, you may see traditional farmers at work with their donkeys and cows. After lunch, we head for Argana through rural mountain scenery. We'll have the chance to visit an argan oil cooperative run by local women, and taste and buy local products. We arrive at the oldest argan forest in the region, where the team will have set up our bivouac for the night.
We'll pass through a small Berber village, hills and valleys before it's time for a break and lunch. The afternoon will be spent riding through fields and small paths, to arrive at a breathtaking panoramic view of Iftane's sand dunes and the Atlantic Ocean. The views from Iftane are the most beautiful according to our team and many of our guests. We reach the small fishing village of Iftane and our bivouac by the ocean.
We'll spend the morning passing through small villages by the ocean, on our way to the waterfalls of Sidi M'Barek and the saltwater ponds of Smimou, where we'll stop for lunch. Arrival at our oceanfront bivouac, where we'll enjoy a swim, tea and Moroccan pastries, and dinner served by the fire.
After breakfast, we continue along deserted beaches and breathtakingly beautiful sand dunes. You'll long remember the feeling of freedom as you gallop along the endless beaches. We arrive at our guesthouse for the last night. Enjoy a refreshing swim and shower after a few nights in bivouac.
After breakfast, we head back to Essaouira. This itinerary promises more extensive wild beaches and massive sand dunes typical of the region. We'll pass the Cap Sim lighthouse, Berber villages and small fishing villages on the beach. We'll have a picnic by the ocean with a magnificent view. We take individual gallop videos on the beach before returning to the stables through eucalyptus and mimosa forests, passing an ancient sultan's palace. We arrive at the stables around 5 p.m. and take you back to your accommodation in Essaouira.
